Southwestern School Holds Bullying Assembly

The Southwestern staff and students are taking a stand on bullying and have agreed to stand up to help the students being bullied.  Staff and students participated in some planned activities that were performed each day.  An all school assembly, that featured an ex-NFL football player (Shawn Harper) took place on Febryary 3rd where every student was given a t-shirt that had the words STOP on the front it.  These activities and assembly are only a small facet of ways to prevent bullying.  It will be an ongoing process and in order to prevent this growing epidemic, we are going to need all students, staff and parents work together to put a STOP to the mean and hurtful things students say.  A joint effort between home and school to benefit EVERY student.
