Welcome to our in-house childcare center!

 

Southwestern Little Wildcat Center (SLWC) is an on-site childcare program located in the Southwestern Elementary School building serving children ages 6 weeks to 12 years of age.

 

All children must be pre-enrolled to utilize our services. Our center is open from 6:00am until 5:30pm.

SLWC offers:

• Full-time (4-5 days per week)

• Part-time (1-3 days per week)

• Half days (5 hours)

• Drop-in care

• Before and after school care ( including weather delay days as long as it is safe for center staff) 

• Summer care for school age children (we are open for Christmas break, Spring break, etc.) 

• Friday care for children enrolled in the 4K program at Southwestern Elementary.

The purpose of the Southwestern Little Wildcat Child Care Center (“SLWC” or “center”) is to provide quality, nurturing, affordable care for the children of the immediate and surrounding communities in an environment that supports the development and growth of each child.

 

SLWC will provide opportunities for children to grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally through both structured programming and organized play that

incorporates resources and support from the Southwestern School District and the larger community.

Morning Care 

6:00am—7:40am

Afternoon Care 

3:10pm—5:30pm Mon.—Fri. 

12:40pm—5:30pm on early release days

​

• A healthy snack will be provided to all students. 

• Staff will help students complete homework while in the program.

 

Billing

• Parents will be billed weekly. 

• Charges will be $3.00 per hour, per child, billed in one hour increments, billed in one hour increments for before and after school care.

Pick-Up Time

• Parents will be required to pick-up their children no later than 5:30pm. 

• Any child picked up after 5:30pm. will be charged $3 per minute.

Additional information

• Drop-in before and after school will not be accepted without prior approval from directors. All attendees must be registered in advance. 

• Cat Care is located in the activity room. Parents will need to enter through the childcare entrance, door 10, in the back side of the school and walk through our toddler rooms. 

• Enrollment numbers will be capped to ensure the safety of the students and staff.
