As a fifth grader, and leader of our Elementary building, students focus on being a responsible leader. We mimic middle school rewards and expectations for homework. This is to help with the students eventual transition to middle school.

RESPONSIBILITY CONTRACT:

• Students are allowed to have up to (3) late assignments per month before parents are notified. Once they have exceeded the amount for the month, a slip will then come home with your child for you to sign and return. This form states that your child will not be participating in our end of the month party. Each month, this will “re-start” and the class will choose a new fun activity or reward.

ASSIGNMENT NOTEBOOKS:

• Assignment Notebooks are expected to be signed by a parent or guardian each night. This is to ensure that they are completing homework, and for parents and teachers to communicate. 

READING LOG:

• Students will be required to complete a weekly reading log, reading 15 minutes each night. These will be checked on Fridays.

TICKETS/BEHAVIOR:

• Students will receive 3 tickets per week. This is used to monitor and reward behavior. Any tickets they have at the end of the week can be traded in for various treats.
